I was born February 17th, 1981, thus making me 29 today. I lived in the beautiful Pacific Northwest US (Portland, Oregon area) my whole life until moving to Central Oregon in the summer of 2004.
I hold dual degrees in accounting and business administration from George Fox University, and work as a CPA at a public accounting firm in Bend, OR. No free tax tips will be given.
My first adventure games were the four Rainbow Books of Adventure and everything else I could find for the Tandy CoCo 3, including Scott Adams' Adventureland. Once we stepped into the modern world and got a PC, my first adventure game was Willy Beamish, when I was 11 years old. I quickly devoured the entire Sierra and LucasArts catalogs and have been a devoted adventure fan since then. I joined Adventure Gamers when it was founded in 1999 and took over as the site's chief editor in May of 2004.
I have all kinds of hobbies besides adventure games. I love to read. I play and teach guitar and spend a lot of time writing music. I also write a lot, though I often fail to complete a project before getting excited about a different one (someday I'll actually finish something). And I love music, movies, and television. And professional sports. Oh, and I find the occasional moment to spend with my patient wife Chelsea, four-year-old daughter Natalie, and one-year-old son Caleb.
I retired from the editor position of Adventure Gamers in November of 2004. Retirement is kinda lame, by the way.
