Of my 42 years of life, I have spent 33 of them in school. When I'm not pipetting, reading slides, reading journal articles and finishing up my PhD, I love playing adventure games. Lately, I haven't been playing as much as my PhD will be coming to an end this August (hooray!!) and I'll be starting a new job right after. I really believe that the new job will be much less chaotic and aimless than my PhD was and I'll be able to get back to the gaming.
I came late to the adventure genre. When everyone else was mesmerized by Lucas Arts, Sierra, Legend, Infocom and other developers' games, I was... in school. My first foray into the AG world was Myst (put down that pitchfork!). I bought it on a whim having no idea what it was and I fell in love. I played many a first person game after that, moved into third person games and have loved them all ever since. Does that qualify me to work here? Well, the management seems to think so. WOO!
