Monkey Island 4's Ending.

I was just replaying Monkey Island 4 just a minute ago, and I notice that the ending is a bit 'bleh'. I was expecting a large cutscene movie like the introduction.

Does Lucas Arts still stick with the ''We plan to make it, but not now'' statement? I think they just plan to make more Star Wars games. But this is not new news. Just wanted to know if there is any updates on the Monkey Island 5 status?

Oh, and Monkey Island 4 was amazing. I loved it. I cant wait (if there will be) for what the graphics will be like for next gen.

I seriously doubt that LucasArts is about to fund a fifth Monkey Island game. Unless the genre suddenly enjoys an incredible renaissance, at which point they almost certainly would leap on the bandwagon.

Well maybe they'll run out of StarWars ideas, or maybe people will get sick of StarWars titles. (which will be soon I think, people already say they are)

Lucas Arts are going to make a next gen Indiana Jones game, I'm happy about that, I loved Emperors Tomb, amazing gameplay and very fun.

I recon they will most probably make a Monkey Island 5, all 4 games sold amazingly well (even the underrated MI4 sold alot) Monkey Island is a legend, ask any gamer at all and they would of heard of Monkey Island.

I'd be happy with a movie even, maybe Pixar style? Or real life, I just want to know the secret of monkey island. (dont we all?)

Had to have a quick rant. :9

Highly unlikely. That was said well before the whole Sam & Max fiasco.

Yeah, theres like 20 minutes of credits. I'd be funny if the game contiinued straight from there.

3 and 4 don't count as real MI games.
We are following a storyline that's not meant to be.
My only hope woulb be Ron Gilbert's purchase of the rights
and make the real MI3. MI1-2 are legends. 3-4 are not.
(still I love them though)

Meh, While a Ron Gilbert helmed Monkey Island is preferable CMI and EMI are decent continuations of the game line and are as much Monkey Island games as the first two.

Gilbert will never get the MI rights back, Lucasarts isn't going to give up one of their most memerable licence.

I would however get behind a Gilbert MI3 that disregarded CMI and EMI. Because I like to have my Cake and Eat it too.

Monkey Island 3 was so much different than the two first games, because of this i just can´t enjoy MI 3.:frown:

Dunno about part 4, i didn´t bother buying it.:pan:

I think people think its crap just because Ron isent one of the writers for the game, its like a mental block. Those games are funny and they are worthy editions. Nothing you can say can make Ron remake MI 3 & 4, besides what if he doesnt want to make another Monkey Island sequel?

They are decent continuations but not superior like the orginals.
Every scene of the first 2 were legendery made a big impact on me.
But I remember barely some scenes from CMI and EMI. The tried to
imitate the first 2's sense of humour.

They are really different. I was /still am a die hard MI fan so
I knew who was making the games but eventhough I didn't
know that he left, I could have felt the difference. They are
good imitations but not the same. Ron had vision of a triology
since the beginning so in fact he wants to do the third if possible.
I wonder so much the original course of the story. At the begiing of CMI
things strart to go out of the path. Elaine never would behave. :)
