Default Does nakedness make you uncomfortable?

Well, go ahead and answer the question!

I guess the answer is always going to be depends on the situation. I must say that, in general, I wish people were naked more often, and that in theory I would be very comfortable with that.

I will also add that tonight I got naked with a friend on the side of the road and we had fun trying to dodge headlights. Nothing more exhilarating. Plus, it was really windy; God it felt good!

I love taking things out of context.

Well, my dad's bare ass was on the front page of his local newspaper in the 70's. He was with two of his buddies streaking downtown, and it was caught on camera.

And you all know the phrase: "Like father, like son."

I like being naked. I'm comfortable being naked around other naked people, but if I'm the only naked person then I don't feel comfortable. Unfortunately I share a room with a roommate who's never naked so I generally keep my nakedness desires oppressed until the weekends when he leaves.

On other people: Not at all. I can even maintain eye contact most of the time.
On myself: When I was young, trim, and firm, not at all. Now that I'm older and significantly less trim and firm, I don't get naked unless everyone in the room specifically requests me to. In the summertime, I don't normally don clothes until it's time to leave the house, but I live alone and don't have any pets (Back off, Fluffy! That's NOT a cat toy!).
In short, nakedness doesn't make me uncomfortable, except for the age old question that has plagued nudists since the beginning of time: Where do I put my wallet and keys if I don't have any pockets?

Yeah, to put around their shoulders when it's cold outside.

Exactly. Jazzie's never been to a Finnish sauna, apparently.

of course my own nudity makes me uncomfortable...my fully clothed body makes me uncomfortable...the only solace i find is in hanging out with trees rather than people

I have been to a Finnish sauna. Friends of my family have one in their garden.
The grown ups just had the decency to remain a bit decent in the presence of children.

That I don't understand. They are FAMILY, if there are people with whom you absolutely SHOULD be comfortable with even when naked, it's your family members. I don't consider that an issue of decency at all.

There's a big difference between being "naked" (which just means you don't have any clothes on) and being "nekkid" (which means you don't have any clothes on AND you're up to something!).
If it's perfectly normal and socially acceptable for everyone in a sauna to be naked, then why send the message to children that certain areas of our bodies are something to be ashamed of?
Since I'm from one of the most sexually repressed and hypocritically puritanical areas on the planet, this question has always puzzled me.
Just a thought...

Well, as we all learned during the Nipplegate Saga, no child should ever see a woman's teat.

Of course, if you think about it, that sort of defeats the nipple's raison d'être, doesn't it?

They're designed for children's use, but the packaging appeals to adults as well.

That's where you are quite right.
