Default Tex Murphy: Pandoras Directive on Vista

I'm running Vista 64, any tips on getting this game to work with Vista? I've tried Dosbox, which will run it but really crappy. Anyone run into this dilemma?

I have tried to install this game on six or seven different machines, running Windows 95, 98, 98SE, XP Home, XP Professional, and XP Media Edition. Never have I been able to get any of these machines or systems to as much as start reading the disk, when some sort of error or freeze-up occurs. I'd love to try this game, so if anyone has any suggestions????

Thanx,

Check the thread Games on Vista.

I used this site - Nilo's Place.
- Top left corner - click Downloads
- Righ column - click Pandora for Dosbox 0.72
- Right beneath it, is a link to instructions, which you can download.

It comes with all patches etc.

Just install your game as ususal through DosBox 0.72 - then copy these downloaded unzipped files to the game folder and you should be good to go.

Worked like a charm for me.

Thank you misslilo

I ended up using your method a few weeks back and it worked, only I ended up with weird artifacting on the screen and the actual size of the gamescreen was like a smallish square in the middle of my 24" monitor. Needless to say I kind of gave up.
