UK publisher Mindscape has announced its plans to release Law & Order: Criminal Intent for PC on March 24th.

The first Law & Order title featuring a spin-off series, Criminal Intent is also the first game in the series to switch to a third-person perspective. Players control enigmatic Detective Robert Goren over the course of four cases, in which you'll have to "mix traditional forensic techniques, such as examining crime scenes and scrutinising evidence with Goren's instincts for interviewing witnesses by deciding which psychological approach to use when pressing for clues."

Featuring the voices of Vincent D'Onofrio and Jamey Sheridan in their respective roles from the TV program, Criminal Intent also recreates familiar sets from the series for players to point & click their way through in their investigation.

Criminal Intent met with less-than-stellar reviews in North America, based largely on the fact that the game was released in a buggy state. However, with a patch now released, UK fans have reason to believe a more stable release will be hitting stores next week.
