New Phoenix Wright announced for Nintendo DS
No objection to a second instalment of the quirky courtroom drama

Capcom has recently revealed its plans to produce a second instalment of the popular Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney series for the Nintendo DS.

Despite its confounding lack of retail availability in North America, the original quirky courtroom comedy/drama was critically acclaimed and quickly became a cult favourite for early DS users.

The new game will see Phoenix returning for four new cases against equally seemingly impossible odds and formidable opponents. As with the first game, "players must exercise their legal prowess as they collect evidence, examine witnesses, analyze testimonies and seek the truth to ensure that justice prevails. The game is characterized by its memorable characters, engaging storylines and unique gameplay format, all presented in a comical anime style."

Justice for All once again offers two distinct gameplay segments, including an investigation phase where you'll "survey crime scenes, interview witnesses and gather evidence that will be used in court" and a court phase to "present findings from the investigation to support your case, listen to testimonies, examine witnesses, and determine what is fact from fiction so you can prove your client's innocence".

With the return of several people from the original as well as a brand new cast of bizarre characters, Justice for All also promises a new "psyche-lock" option and a status bar that you can increase to counteract lost points from mistakes and incorrect evidence.

Justice for All is scheduled for release in North America in the first quarter of 2007.
