Al Emmo descends from Himalaya
Nostalgic independent adventure now shipping

Independent developer Himalaya Studios announced today that the long-awaited Al Emmo and the Lost Dutchman's Mine is now shipping.

Al Emmo is a nostalgic throwback to the genre's glory years, with a retro look and classic gameplay that hearkens back to the likes of King's Quest, Leisure Suit Larry, and Monkey Island. Although the debut title from Himalaya, the developers honed their skills with the acclaimed remakes of King's Quest I and II before turning their attention to their first original endeavour.

The third-person, point-and-click game follows the exploits of 40-something lovable loser Al Emmo, who finds himself stranded in the desert down of Anozira. As he seeks to win the heart of a lovely local singer, Al soon finds himself wrapped up in a much bigger adventure of legendary Aztec treasure and the "Lost Dutchman's Mine".

Al Emmo and the Lost Dutchman's Mine is currently available at the Himalaya online store. For more information about the game, be sure to read our preview and check out the stylish official website.
