With many new adventures, there is often a delay between the European and U.S. release dates. Such was the case for Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened, but the wait is no more, as cdv Software Entertainment and Focus Home Interactive have announced that The Awakened is at last shipping to American retailers.

For this first-person, direct-controlled game, Frogwares decided to combine the familiar world of Holmes with the Cthulhu mythos from H.P. Lovecraft. This time out, the great detective and Dr. Watson find themselves traveling around the world to investigate disappearances that seem to be associated with a cult devoted to Cthulhu.
