New Penumbra demo plagues the internet
Playable sampler showcases last half of the Penumbra series

After the release of Penumbra: Overture , a survival horror/adventure hybrid that showcased a physics-based game engine, the two-man team of Frictional Games have developed the final chapter of the story, Penumbra: Black Plague. Now, a new demo has been released in anticipation of the game's release next week.

Black Plague continues the story of Philip as he goes in search of his missing father in a series of spooky underground tunnels. While maintaining the haunting psychological tension of the first game, Black Plague places far less emphasis on the combat and stealth elements of Overture. The demo takes place at the beginning of the game and includes the first four levels.

The 134 MB demo can be downloaded from a variety of sites, including GamersHell and WorthPlaying.
