New clues point to the next Nancy Drew DS title
The Mystery of the Clue Bender Society expected this summer

Nancy Drew made her debut on the Nintendo DS in late 2007 with the release of The Deadly Secret of Olde World Park . Unlike the PC series from Her Interactive, that debut title featured Nancy in a third-person view for the first time, with a heavy emphasis on minigames over detective work. While recognizing the need for some changes, Majesco has decided that Nancy has a future on the DS with their announcement of the next game in the series, Nancy Drew: The Mystery of the Clue Bender Society.

The new game has Nancy trying to gain membership into an elite group of detectives, The Clue Bender Society. As one of three candidates looking to enter the society, Nancy must face a series of challenges set before her. As she is solving these tests, a real mystery emerges involving the disappearance of a secret tome. Nancy is called upon by The Clue Bender Society to find this book.

This time around, the developers will take advantage of the unique features of the Nintendo DS for puzzle solving that is more oriented towards Nancy's detective skills. The game will have nine chapters and the puzzles will involve tasks such as fingerprint retrieval, interrogations, trailing suspects and finding clues using the microphone, which will get increasing difficult as the game progresses.

The game is expected to release in the summer of 2008.
