After a lengthy wait following its digital release, retail publishing plans for Nostradamus: The Last Prophecy are really gearing up now. Slated to release in North America this September, now Lighthouse Interactive and Elektrogames have announced that the historical adventure will be coming to the UK the same month.

In Nostradumus, players assume the role of the Madeleine, daughter of the famed apothecary, doctor, and astrologer. Or more accurately, the dual role of Madeleine and Madeleine disguised as her own brother César. In 16th century France, Catherine de Médicis has fallen victim to a curse, and seeks help from Nostradamus, who is too old to help his Queen himself. And so he sends his daughter, who must not only overcome rampant political scheming and complex ancestral prophecies as she investigates a series of murders, but also the challenge of succeeding during a time when women aren't accepted in scientific fields.

Reportedly the first-ever game based on the life and works of Michel de Nostre-Dame, Nostradamus is the latest collaborative effort from Kheops, TOTM, and Mzone studios. For more information about the game, be sure to check out the official website.
