Port sighting of Secret Files 2 on Nintendo
Purditas Cordis coming to Wii and DS next year

This may not be the news of Secret Files 2 that English gamers have been waiting for, but the highly-anticipated sequel is still making headlines as today Deep Silver announced that the game will be ported to both Nintendo Wii and DS systems.

While English speakers anxiously await the PC version of Secret Files 2: Puritas Cordis, production is now underway at Keen Games (the same team responsible for the first game's ports) on both the console and handheld versions. The new game once again features the stars of the original, Nina and Max, as a series of natural disasters have the world on the brink of destruction but may not be so "natural" after all. This time around, Max travels to an Indonesian excavation site in pursuit of a secret society known as Puritas Cordis, while Nina joins a priest in France to "investigate the connection between the secret society's sinister prophesies and the creepy leader of an ancient order. "

Along with Nina and Max are two other playable characters, and of course the ports promise to tailor puzzle and gameplay elements to capitalize on the unique features of each system.

No firm release date has been announced for these Nintendo versions, but both are expected some time next year.
