Sherlock Holmes awakens again, now better than ever
"Remastered Edition" of The Awakened offers third-person control mode

For all those who dislike first-person, direct-control adventures, or for those who simply feel that a Sherlock Holmes game just isn't the same without the great detective on display at all times, Frogwares and Focus Home Interactive have just the answer with a "Remastered Edition" of Sherlock Homes: The Awakened.

The new version of the game offers various enhancements over the original, including improved graphical effects and an updated help system. The big feature, however, is the ability to play the game in either third-person or the original first-person perspective. The game even allows switching on the go for players who would rather experience some of both. For a more in-depth look at the changes between versions and the inspiration behind it, a trailer interview with Frogwares CEO Waël Amr can either be streamed online or downloaded from the publisher's website.

The Remastered Edition of The Awakened will be available for purchase on October 23rd. There are no firm details about upgrading an existing original version to the Remastered Edition, though Focus Home previously indicated that a downloadable update would be available at a reduced cost, so stay tuned for further details if you already own the game.
