Ankh DS port finds life in UK stores
Curse of the Scarab King now shipping to retailers

It took a little longer than expected, but the release of Ankh: Curse of the Scarab King for DS isn't cursed after all, as XIDER Games announced today that the comic adventure has shipped to retailers in the UK.

About that curse, though, the same can't be said for the game's main character. A port of the original Ankh, released for PC back in 2006, Curse of the Scarab King casts players in the role of a young man named Assil, who unwittingly invokes a mummy's curse upon himself and has just 24 hours to lift it. What's worse, to accomplish his goal he'll need the help of Osiris, the god of the underworld himself, who has decidedly different plans of his own. Along the way, players will encounter a wide variety of colourful characters, including Israelite hippies, squabbling assassins, and one very hungry crocodile. Assil will also meet up with a beautiful but feisty girl named Thara, whom players will control at times.
