Syberia for DS steams into North American stores
Port of Benoît Sokal's classic now available for Nintendo's handheld

Good things sometimes come in small packages, as evidenced by Syberia for DS, which is now shipping to retailers in North America.

The original PC classic by Benoît Sokal and Microïds is now six years old, but its popularity hasn't waned much among adventure fans. The journey of big city lawyer Kate Walker in pursuit of a handicapped but brilliant inventor on the trail of living mammoths is acclaimed not only for its imaginative settings and beautiful artwork, but also for its moving story of self-discovery.

The DS version of Syberia promises to bring the full musical score and impressive cinematics of the original (albeit on a much smaller scale) while now allowing players to control Kate's movements directly.

For more information about Syberia, be sure to check out our review of the PC original.
