The Legend of Crystal Valley release becomes reality
Fantasy point-and-click adventure available for purchase and download; demo offered

It's been a good week for digitally distributed adventures. Along with the long-awaited English language debut of Ankh 3 comes the release of The Legend of Crystal Valley for purchase and download.

The independent adventure from Cateia Games casts the player as Eve, a young woman who rushes to see her estranged father after receiving a disturbing letter from him. When she arrives at her childhood homestead, however, Eve's father is already missing, and the clues he's left behind will take her straight into the Crystal Valley, a "fantasy world inhabited with strangest creatures and characters".

The game can currently be found at GamersGate or Sandlot Games, and is expected on other download portals shortly. Note that there are two "versions" of the game, but the one labeled "casual" is the same game with all the same content as the regular version, but with added user-friendly features to make the game more accessible to adventure game newcomers.

A free tutorial demo is also available from Sandlot Games, distinct from the main game download. For more information about The Legend of Crystal Valley, be sure to check out our recent preview of the game, which includes a developer interview as well.
