Bracken Tor to claw loose later this year
New horror adventure from Barrow Hill creator now in production

As any Barrow Hill fan knows, ancient rock formations can only mean trouble to well-meaning adventurers, but that won't stop anyone from charging right back towards one when Bracken Tor: The Time Of Tooth And Claw releases later this year.

The second horror adventure from indie developer Matt Clark and his Shadow Tor Studios challenges players to spend the night at the stony outcrop of Bracken Tor in the wake a particularly brutal "murder" of a lone hiker. The killer may not be human, however, but possibly a mystical moorland beast who has returned to exact revenge on those who hunted the area's carnivorous animals to extinction in former times.

Playing as an intrepid journalist in this node-based, first-person point-and-click adventure (a format similar to its predecessor, according to the developer), gamers must solve the disturbing tragedy through careful investigation in the search for evidence. And by using "virtual archeology" to connect with the past, players will also travel back in time to the Bronze Age in order to discover the terrible secrets of its primitive people and the "true origins of the nightmare".

For additional details about Bracken Tor, be sure to check out the game's official website, launched today. The site will need to tide you over for a while, but hopefully not too long, as Clark is currently targeting completion in October.
