Life in the Dorms recorded on film
Quirky first trailer released for college-based Xbox Live Indie Games adventure

If you've ever wondered what college is really like, your first instinct might not be to ask a guy with a cardboard head, but that's exactly who holds the answers in the first trailer for Moment Games' upcoming comic indie adventure, Life in the Dorms.

Life in the Dorms casts players in the shoes and square head of Dack Peeples, a lonely college freshman who believes his roommate is a murderer who plans to kill him with an axe. But surviving college is challenging enough, as Dack "goes through all the typical early dorm-life experiences, such as saying goodbye to Mom and Dad, attending orientation, performing open surgery and—with any luck—discovering the true meaning of ramen noodles. I mean friendship."

The first trailer introduces Dack and offers a sneak peek of some of his unusual school encounters. Along with plenty of traditional adventure gameplay, Life in the Dorms also promises a social network-inspired element, in which Dack can post frequent "Flitter" updates, and must do so in order to solve some of the game's puzzles.

Life in the Dorms will be available exclusively through the Xbox Live Indie Games channel, and is currently scheduled for release sometime before the end of the year.
