Myst soon linking to Nintendo 3DS
Port of Cyan's classic puzzler on track for spring release

Continuing its dominance as the most-ported adventure of all time, Myst will soon be heading to an all-new platform when it arrives on the Nintendo 3DS next spring.

The latest search for the red and blue pages of the books imprisoning Atrus's rebellious sons is being developed by Hoplite Research, LLC, and published by Maximum Family Games. The new version includes not only the original five islands, but the RIME Age as well, introduced in the game's first move to 3D, realMYST.

The previous attempt to port Myst to a Nintendo portable platform was a resounding failure, but the 3DS version promises to stay true to Cyan's 1993 original, only this time giving it a stereoscopic "3D facelift" for improved immersion.

Myst for 3DS is currently scheduled for release on March 27, 2012.
