completed contest: Sam & Max: Culture Shock giveaway

You probably never thought you'd see the word "culture" in the same sentence as "Sam & Max", but it's hard not to feel a little shocked by the reality of a new adventure starring the Freelance Police. A mere thirteen years and a few gut-wrenching false alarms after hitting the road, everyone's favourite smooth-talking canine and hyperkinetic rabbity thing have returned in Sam & Max: Culture Shock.

In this pilot episode of the first season of Sam & Max games by Telltale, the comic crimefighting duo face mystery, mental disorders, and other alliterative mayhem as a trio of former child stars called the Soda Poppers are wreaking havoc on Sam & Max's neighbourhood. But are they acting alone, or is this a nefarious scheme of a horribly-coiffed villain with esteem issues? Only your tattoo artist-turned-psychotherapist knows for sure. Armed with nothing but their DeSoto (hey, the way they drive it, it counts as "armed") and their wits... okay, and maybe some really big guns... it's up to Sam & Max to stomp out the menace and save Bosco's Inconvenience as we know it.

For GameTap subscribers in North America, the dog and lagomorph are already out of the bag, but for everyone else, the countdown is on for the worldwide release on November 1st. To help ease the wait — or perhaps make it more agonizing — we are pleased to offer a free downloadable copy of Culture Shock to three lucky winners, courtesy of Telltale Games. That's right, it's Sam & Max: freebie police! All you need to do is correctly measure the distance of the Ball of Twine unravelled... wait, that can't be right. No, sorry! All you need to do is answer the three dastardly questions below to be eligible to win. What could be easier? Well, now that you ask, cheating could be easier, which you can do by reading up on the game in our Culture Shock review.

The contest will run for one full week, ending Tuesday, October 31st. Winners will be e-mailed immediately after the contest closes, just in time for the game's release the next day!
