completed contest: Nostradamus: The Last Prophecy giveaway

Without looking, who thinks this contest write-up will conclude with three quiz questions? And that they’ll need to be answered correctly to be eligible for one of three free copies of a new adventure? And that the contest will run for one full week before winners are randomly drawn? If you answered “yes” to each question, you may just have the fortune-telling chops for Nostradamus: The Last Prophecy, the only game ever to focus on the famous 16th century astrologer and seer. (Either that or these giveaways are becoming way too predictable, but let’s go with the answer that’s most flattering to everyone.)

Of course, Nostradamus doesn’t exactly “focus” on Michel de Nostre-Dame himself. In this historical adventure by Kheops, Totem, and Mzone studios, players assume the role of his daughter… or maybe his son… or sort of both. The year is 1566, and the former regent of Provence has fallen under a curse and requests the aid of her doctor Nostradamus. But the aging prophet is too old and weak for the mission, so he sends his daughter Madeleine in his stead. In a country already devastated by plague and ravaged by religious wars and political scheming, Madeleine also faces the challenge of acceptance in a scientific field dominated by men, so players will alternate between controlling Madeleine as herself and disguised as her own brother César. In these dual roles, players must solve a series of puzzles inspired by the works of Nostradamus while investigating a series of murders targeting the Royal Family.

If you can envision yourself winning a free retail copy of Nostradamus, that may just come true soon enough. To celebrate the game's recent release in the UK, Lighthouse Interactive has offered up three game prizes for us to give away. All you need to do is correctly answer the questions below (the questions above don’t count, sorry) for your chance to win. Fortunately, for those whose prophetic powers aren’t fully developed, all the answers you need can be found at the game’s official website.

The contest will run until Friday, November 14th, and the winners can already start expecting an e-mail at that time.
