Deep in the cold, dark recesses of a towering castle that blots out the cloudy, violet skies, an ominous night stalker slowly arises… suddenly a startling flutter of leathery wings streaks past in the gloom… up, ever up climbs the figure, always shrouded in shadow, past the instruments of unspeakable torture, until finally a lonely beam of moonlight through an open window reveals… Mona and her bat friend Froderick?!!

What, you were expecting someone else?

Come on, this is Autumn Moon’s A Vampyre Story we’re talking about. Forget what you know about Vlad the Impaler or Bram Stoker. In fact, forget Anne Rice and Buffy while you’re at it. In this highly-anticipated comic adventure, players will control opera singer-turned-reluctant vampire Mona de Laffite in her attempts to escape Draxyslvanian imprisonment and return to Paris with the help of her wisecracking sidekick Froderick. But Mona’s a lover, not a biter, and in order to overcome the many obstacles in her path, she’ll first need to embrace her legendary if at-times-distasteful vampiric powers.

It’s taken many years of on-and-off development for the game to reach completion, but at last it’s finally here. Just in the nick of time for Christmas, though if you’re anything like us, there’s never quite enough money to go around, is there? (And by that I mean all the way back around to YOU.) But here’s where we can help you give a thoughtful gift to yourself, as we’re pleased to offer up three retail copies of the game courtesy of The Adventure Company. Remember, though: it’s the thought that counts, so in order to be eligible, you’ll first need to answer the quiz questions below. But ho ho ho, what have we here but all the answers you’ll need in our recent preview and developer interview.

The contest will run for seven moons (and accompanying days, if you can tolerate those), ending Wednesday December 17th, so get your entry in now. You snooze, you lose, if you catch our drift. Mwa-ha-ha-ha!
